These cables were a perfect fit to replace the OEM cables on a 1989 Ranger 365V with a Yamaha ProV 150 engine. Installation was relatively easy. I recommend detaching the old cables one at a time and then taping an electrician's steel fish tape to the stern end of the old cable before pulling it out at the helm. Attach the new cable to the fish tape and pull it back through the gunwale to the stern. Repeat with the second cable, if your boat has two of them. We've put about 10 hours on the boat since replacing the cables and steering is free and smooth.
