Bell Automotive steering wheel covers hide scuffs and other imperfections while catering to personalization and comfort. The HyperFlex Core steering wheel covers are flexible, light, and odor-free; they fit most steering wheels in vehicles. The HyperFlex Core is made from a specialized polymer which produces materials that are "rubber-like" in softness and flexibility, but without the offensive rubber tire odor. This steering wheel features low- and high-temperature toughness and is resistant to stress-crack and UV radiation.
Designed for universal fit on steering wheels 14-1/2" to 15-1/2" (37cm to 39cm)
Patented HyperFlex Core for quick and easy installation
Odorless material
Traditional poncho-inspired design
Resistant to stress-crack and UV radiation
I purchased this steering wheel cover b/c my car has a leather wrapped steering wheel and it's always either scalding hot to the touch in the summer or freezing cold in the winter. I figured a cloth cover would help make the temperature of the steering wheel more reasonable upon entering the car and it has done just that, although I can't vouch for the winter season yet. But thus far it's been high 90s outside so as you can image the car is very hot when I first open it and the steering wheel has been totally fine to grab ahold of. Also, it's a really colorful pattern so I enjoy the fun-beach vibes it brings to the rest of my otherwise black-toned interior. I had zero issues getting it on my steering wheel and while it does have an odor that some people mentioned, I don't mind the smell of new bike tire so it's not a determent for me. The only reasons I gave it four stars is because it's cloth so it's gonna take a little extra care to keep it clean (which right now during COVID-19 is kind of important) and the pattern / material is very much that of a baja beach blanket so it's not super soft or smooth to the touch. It's not rough per se, but it is very different from the feel of my steering wheel without the cover so it has taken a little bit to get used to.So I purchased this wheel cover because my steering wheels 'built in' cover was starting to peel off. The instructions for this cover recommends you leave it in the sun to warm it up to make it easier to install over the wheel. It tells you that you CAN get the cover on if you use patience, heat and a strong arm....the instructions were on the edge of insult that if you couldn't get the cover on, you're a wimp. I am a 52 year old woman. 5'10 and strong. This was a bit of a challenge but with perseverance I managed to get the cover on. The fabric cover has an interior rubber that molds over the existing steering wheel. The rubber cracked and broke while I stretched it over my 2011 Ford F150 truck steering wheel but still managed to get it on. It's obvious the cover is slightly small for my steering wheel even though the directions state that it should fit 'ALL' steering wheels. Bell Company is pretty proud of their stuff and will insult you before taking the blame on poor manufacturing. The broken rubber area luckily sits at the bottom end of the steering wheel so i only feel it when I am turning. It doesn't interfere with my driving other than not having a smooth roll-over with my hands on the steering wheel like I wished it did. It is summer now as I write this so the cover has had a few weeks to sit in the hot truck and 'meld' to the steering wheel but the broken area is not relaxing or smoothing out....still 'lumpy'. I think when this cover gets real annoying to me, which i anticipate won't be too long, I will go with a lace on leather cover and not this steering wheel cover. Buyer beware. Not for all steering wheels.I love this pattern, but this cover was too small to get on my steering wheel. I guess I got the size wrong. Went to local automotive store and the one I got there was fractionally larger and fit. Tight, but on. So I guess that’s my fault. Who knew.WARNING: SUPER LONG REVIEW. This is the second pair of these seat covers that I ordered. Unfortunately after a few short months (with the original pair purchased), the drivers seat cover started to tear and I let it get too far before I finally tried to sew it myself. Also the little elastic loops to attach to the flap (that goes through the car seat) started to rip and the metal holes (that you attach to said elastic loops) came undone so everything was falling apart. I checked Amazon and the price had actually gone down so I decided to grab 2 more for $20. Only this time around before I put them in my car, I decided to reinforce the stitches with my sewing machine and added some flat polyester rope to help keep the bottom part of the seat cover in place. I sewed about a foot and a half of the rope right behind the hook that you attach to the flap on the back and I just tied it with a bow and double knot behind the seat. And it worked like a charm!! With my first pair, every time my boyfriend and I would get in or out of the car, the bottom of the seat would stretch and come undone so I’d have to keep fixing it every time we got out of the car. Now, I could even wiggle around in the seat and they won’t move an inch! Sewing those extra ropes REALLY helped keep them in place and im really hoping that reinforcing the stitches will keep them from ripping this summer. Only time will tell, but I’m confident that they will stay solid. I forgot to mention, I have a 2006 Honda Pilot.I love the print, and the quality feels fine. These were just a bit small for my seats in the sense that they don't lay flat on my seat. Sitting on them helps a little, but I keep having to adjust the one on the driver side. It makes me think that I eventually might tear it because of so much adjusting. But I like them for the time beingDidn't fit my Acura MDX, though it seemed from info they might/should. They did feel pretty sturdy though, and I like the color.
