This is the first and only release on Flying Monster Music. Truth be told, the only reason for the music company is the logo design, which turned out pretty well. I was hoping someday to make it into a tee shirt and flog enough of 'em to perhaps treat myself to a bottle of good scotch. A gold CD is an improbable dream, but going gold for shirt sales would provide enough lucre to make music comfortably for years.....ha, ha. Don't get me wrong. We worked hard on the music and I am happy with the sonic quality and performances, but reality is that tens of thousands of albums get released monthly and getting to the front of that peleton is a tough ride.........breakaways rarely get to wear the musical maillot jaune. Hi again.............. back with some facts about this Modo thing.My real name is Michael. I fronted my first band when I was about 14 and have pretty much been writing and performing ever since, with committment, but indifferent success (now where have you heard that plaintive whine before?). Rock Modo is a solo recording with a band name, so I don't have the luxury of live gigs to flog my wee musical musings to y'all. Besides, the allure of choking to death on my own vomit in the back of some clapped out van in the American Midwest, lost it's considerable appeal a few years back. But that thin line from there to now seems to stretch but never quite break. You may find some of that spirit still lurking in this record, so I hope you will give me a try.
